Grizzly 45
The Commercial
Fishery uses a
great number of Aylward vessels for quality,
seaworthiness, and precise fit and finish. Probably the only commercial
vessel manufacturer to use Vinyl-ester resins in the skin coat, we create a
blister free hull with virtually no print through. This results in a
superior gloss finish that will hold its shine much longer than has been
seen in the industry to date.
Grizzly
hulls have a very deep fore foot. This makes the boat very comfortable in
rough seas. Head-to-it she is simply one of the best. Side-to-it she is
just like a duck. Off-before-it she is still amazing... Our
boats are known to haul gear in 60 + mph winds in the Bay of Fundy
Note
that today’s common 45 foot Cape Island design has evolved from 36 - 40 foot
hulls. Their sterns are wider than their amidships. The Grizzly on the
other hand is the real deal with a real bow and a stern that is 1' narrower
than its amidships. She is therefore a true 50 footer. Grizzlies can be
constructed up to 65' but, most common is our 44'11 version. Now
that the local rules have changed the 49'11" is becoming the most
popular model. These boats are amazing on fuel. The deep forefoot acts as a
bulbous bow and reduces the wave action on the hull to give greater
efficiency and performance.
With
a yacht like finish and unmatched stability, Aylward has raised the bar to
give fishermen a boat that not only looks great, but handles even better.
The smooth lines and deep forefoot ensure Grizzlies push easier through the
water which results in greater speed, better fuel economy and superior
stability. For example, a 440 hp Cummins with a 4:1 reduction will cruise
her 10.5 knots With a beam of twenty-five feet this is
definitely the industry leader. A typical Grizzly carries 2000 Gallons of
fuel and has a fish hold of 150,000 lbs. Contact us today and discover how we can make your fishing
business more lucrative.
