From time to time, Glen has even been consulted as expert witness on fibreglass performance related cases. Aylward Fibreglass has made a wide variety of boat hull moulds. We have built vessels for individual fishermen, fishing fleets, tour operators, charter companies, government agencies, not to mention boat and yacht enthusiasts all over North America. We manufacture custom moulds for other builders, custom designs and a wide array of vacuum infused fibreglass parts for the marine and transportation industry. Aylward Fibreglass has adopted the Vacuum Infusion Process in its manufacturing practice. VIP involves laying out all dry goods necessary into the mould of a part, including fiberglass, as well as any core material. The materials are covered with a translucent "bag", locked to an airtight seal. Then, 14.7 PSI of controlled vacuum is introduced causing resin to distribute evenly among the layers of dry material. Vacuum Infused parts are lighter in weight and much stronger than traditional hand-laid fiberglass.

Introducing our VIP Doors
The Vacuum Infusion Process has made it possible to make High Strength replacements for conventional alloy marine parts such as these weather seal marine doors. Many commercial fisherman and boat builders are converting to our ingenious VIP door system. VIP makes these doors much lighter, and very easy to install. These strong high quality doors are guaranteed to be weather tight. A huge advantage of Aylward VIP fibreglass doors is they don't pit or rust like their aluminum counterparts. VIP Doors can also be custom colored to suit your boat colours. Windows are available in several sliding configurations. Dimensions are 72" X 26"
